Hello. I'm Emily Snow.

I'm Emily. I'm a 22 year-old virgo, and I'm in Providence, RI. I'm a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design. I grew up in rural Upstate New York in the county that was nicknamed the 'Gateway to the Adirondacks.' I moved to Providence for college, and I stayed because I learned to love life out here. My focuses are in illustration and typography, but I have strengths across the board.

I've been drawing as long as I've been able to write, and I haven't really stopped.

My latest graphic design work is at Providence City Hall working under the Mayor's Office. In my role as the sole graphic designer, I design for print and digital with my projects varying from reports, flyers, brochures, posters, branding, social media post graphics, mass-emailing templates and so forth. We often print in-house, which leaves me in charge of printing and cutting material anywhere between 1 hard copy or 500 copies. We occasionally work with advertising and marketing contractors for large-scale projects in which I get to collaborate with other designers.

My most recent former design work was for a local business owner in Rhode Island for two of his businesses, a French restaurant and a historic walking trail. I primarily worked on website design and mass-emailing, but I also got to work with print media such as invitations, signs and other small design.

Before I've been designing based in Providence, then I had worked remotely for Sade Bowen: Public Relations Firm based in New York City. Through Sade, I created album covers for Sunny Picasso. Through his projects, I've used a variety of techniques from image rendering, to typography and illustration.

Through Johnson & Wales, I did work for a couple non-profit organizations, the Rhode Island Food Bank, Blue Door Art Studio, and House of Hope. I did print work for both RI Food Bank and Blue Door Art Studio which were both used by the organizations. I created a slide deck for House of Hope.

In high school, I did a series of posters for the Trevor Project, a suicide awareness organization. I also did design work for the school, including a year book cover, calendar cover, and many posters.

I graduated Johnson & Wales University in February of 2019 with my Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, a 3.4 GPA and recognition in my overall improvement and leadership skills.

Before Johnson & Wales University, I graduated from Broadalbin-Perth High School in 2015. At 13 out of 130 in my class, I graduated with a 3.85 GPA. I had gone to this school for the entirety of my general education.

In my junior and senior years of high school, I also went to HFM BOCES Career & Technical Center, a type of vocational school. I studied Digital Multimedia, which included photography, videography and graphic design. I learned most of my basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite during these years.

Travel, particularly hiking and nature walks. During summer in Providence, you might see me cruising the neighborhoods on a JUMP bike! I also would like to travel as much of the world I can— when I can.

Video Games. I haven't had much of the chance to game recently, due to the fact that I'm a young professional starting my career, but I do PC game. If you're curious on what games, League of Legends is my go-to. And I'm not that good. I'm as casual as gamers get. As of recent, I've been plating Katamari.

Art. Many kinds of art. It's mostly drawing and graphic design, but my artistry includes anything from photography to bracelets, dream catchers, paintings, costumes and to props. I rather be caught dead than without my sketchbook. I also love interior design, which this love stemmed from my days playing The Sims. My apartment is my ever-evolving large-scale art project.

Tv & Movies. When I have the free time, I'm on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and so on. Nothing beats some kalsarikänni, which is the Finnish practice of sitting home alone with no pants on while you watch tv and drink brews (if you were curious).

Some of my favorite movies are Across the Universe, Mr Nobody and the SAW series. Any Ghibli film easily can make it to my favorites list. Some of my favorite TV include The Office, The Good Place, Steven Universe, Orange is the New Black, You and The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel. If you were looking for some excellent show recommendations, take these.

Social Media. I'm on tons of social media, from Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and so on. Social media is essential to my professional and personal life— using it for leisure, to share my work, and to search for inspiration.  I'm also a big fan of memes.

If you're curious on where upstate, I'm from Broadalbin, NY, off the Sacandaga Lake. it's 25 minutes west of Saratoga Springs, and 45 minutes north of Albany.

I'm 100% a cat person. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with pups or being a dog-person, but I simply just prefer the company of felines. I've lived with cats all my life, but I'm currently the fur mom to one kitty.

If you'd like to work with me, or if there's anything else you'd like to know, please head over to the contact page.
