Mayors for a Guaranteed Income

a complete print and social media package

Mayor Jorge O. Elorza has joined more than 50 mayors from big cities and small towns across the country to put forth a pilot program to test the effects and outcomes of guaranteed income. Mayors for a Guaranteed Income (MGI) supports an income floor to supplement, rather than replace, the existing social safety net and serve as a tool for racial and gender equity.

The City of Providence created a robust Communications Plan of the Mayor's support for this program in collaboration with Amos House, United Way Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Foundation, ONE Neighborhood Builders and other partners. I took lead in all design materials, from drafting what content the posters contain, to layouts, background music for the video and minor video editing. I worked closely with Josephine Sittenfeld, from the Rhode Island School of Design, who provided the photographs and audio clips. Overall, this design package was a great collaborative effort mostly between members of the Communications team, Amos House, United Way RI and Josephine.
